Magdalena is 10 years old and has 3 siblings. She lives in Samaipata located about 75 miles from Santa Cruz, Bolivia, in the foothills of the Andes mountains. Magi is part of a crowded fourth grade class of 36 students crammed into a tiny room. Going to school is the only opportunity she has to learn and be cared for while her parents are working on their small farm. Her parents’ low income puts her continued education at risk. For now, this fourthgrader gets to enjoy school and receive a few hours of loving attention each day.
Sponsoring textbooks for her class has decreased the financial weight her parents have to meet allowing her to stay in school just a little longer.
Even though her future inside the education system is not guaranteed, she can be sure about the love of Jesus that she has learned about at school. Now she understands that there is a God who created all things and who loves her and her family very much. Thank you eternally for bringing Magi to Jesus!
